Chi Psi's Professional Development Initiative

Pathways to
Excellence

This initiative is built to support Brothers throughout their careers. From mentorship and employment opportunities to skill-building resources and networking connections, Pathways provides Brothers with practical guidance in their professional journeys and offers new ways to give back to the Fraternity.

Why Build
Pathways?

While Chi Psi has long emphasized professional development, we recognized the need for a more intentional, structured approach to delivering those opportunities. Pathways to Excellence was created to provide the infrastructure, tools, and strategy to support Brothers in tangible, lasting ways.

  • Inform: Helping undergraduates explore careers, skills, and industries beyond theclassroom
  • Mentor: Connecting Brothers with alumni for guidance, support, and perspective
  • Intern: Preparing for and pursuing hands-on, professional experiences
  • Employ: Creating access to job opportunities and professional networks through theBrotherhood

Pathways provides alumni with a clear and rewarding way to give back through mentorship, hosting workshops, sharing connections, or offering opportunities. Whether you're helping one Brother or shaping the future of the Fraternity, Pathways is a platform to make that impact.

This initiative is made possible through the generous support of Chi Psi alumni committed to investing in the future of our Brotherhood.

Our Testimonials

What They’re Saying?

Jeff Brown, Ψ ’77

“The pairing with Erik was great because he is a very good listener. He asked thoughtful questions in our monthly meetings and then internalized what he heard. He was dedicated to the relationship and was on every Zoom call without fail. He even wanted to continue our meetings when he was out of school because our mentorship relationship crossed into many aspects of his life. Erik freely shared what was going on in his life, and we talked about all of it. I shared my stories to illustrate that he was not alone in his life travels, but rather he was on a path that many others had traveled before him. He did not have to figure it all out on his own.”

“Honestly, I found a valuable connection in my mentor. Being connected through Chi Psi allowed me the opportunity to even know my mentor. He has become someone that I can go to with professional questions. He often provides a new perspective because he did not know me until the mentorship program. All in all, having an older person who cared to talk with me about my career goals was very motivating.”

“I found it very rewarding to share my post-grad experiences with a current undergrad and provide him support as he prepares for graduation and the ‘real world’. As the years go by, it’s easy to forget how difficult a transition can be or how stressful it is to try and secure an internship or job. I enjoyed helping my mentee through that experience. It was great to hear about his experience in the Lodge and share my own experience with him. Although many things have changed a lot, it still remains the same!”
