Thank you for your interest in serving as a host for the Gentleman’s Journey Podcast at the 185th National Convention of Chi Psi in Eugene, Oregon, from July 22–26.
Created by Alpha Phi Delta at the University of Kentucky, Gentleman’s Journey gives Alumni Brothers a direct way to share their Chi Psi experiences, personal growth, and professional expertise. Through these conversations, we hope to strengthen unity and understanding among Brothers across the Fraternity.
Two undergraduate Brothers will be selected to serve as podcast hosts. Hosts will be responsible for helping manage the podcast experience and ensuring each episode is professional, engaging, and well-prepared. With support from Central Office staff, selected Brothers will gain hands-on experience organizing, managing, and executing an interview-style podcast featuring real guests.
This opportunity is intended to provide resume-building experience for Brothers interested in media, communications, interviewing, podcasting, or related careers.
Episodes will be short-form, approximately 20–30 minutes each. Questions will vary by Alumni guest but will primarily focus on Chi Psi experiences, personal development, and professional expertise. All recordings will take place in person at the 185th National Convention of Chi Psi in Eugene, Oregon.
Responsibilities Include:
Attending Convention this summer in Eugene, Oregon
Creating unique questions based on each Alumni guest
Facilitating conversations and asking questions during recordings
Editing each episode and submitting the final version to the Central Office for upload
Alumni guests, scheduling, recording locations, and equipment will be provided or coordinated by the Central Office. If selected, the Central Office will provide transportation to and accommodations in Eugene.
Outside of the recording schedule, hosts are expected to participate in Spencer Institute programming and serve as an additional delegate for their Alpha.
